The Initiative's History
Launched in January 2013, the DREAMers Education Initiative (DEI) provides college and scholarship opportunities to highly motivated, undocumented students in the U.S.
In February 2014, after receiving positive interest from DREAMers, families of DREAMers, nonprofit organizations, and government officials, the DEI joined with TheDream.US, the nation’s largest college access and success program for DREAMers.
TheDream.US scholarship fund works with a national consortium of about 60 colleges and higher education institutions to help DREAMers enroll in their programs. Among that group, Purdue University Global (formerly Kaplan University) is one of the few that provides students the accessibility and affordability of an online college degree program.
Purdue Global offers career-focused associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in a variety of areas such as business, information technology, psychology, criminal justice, health sciences, nursing, and communications.
The DEI works with hundreds of community organizations nationwide to help us get the word out about this program, designed especially for DREAMers. Purdue Global is proud to be a part of TheDream.US.
